Village-headman : Durmuş Toprak Telephone n° : 731 24 49 Population: 252 Distance to Karaburun City : 4 km.
The village of Ambarseki lies eastwards of Karaburun City. The fact that the old population registries don’t mention the presence of any non-muslims, let us suppose that in old days the village was inhabited only by muslims.
According to the annual of 1891 the population amounted 233, whilst in 1935 the population increased to 309 inhabitants.
Ambarseki and its fertile soil are home to a number of specific crops such as narcissi, grapes and related house made wine production, as well as olives and olive oil. From the hills around the village, some 30 tons of laurel is collected and sold for exportation.
Traditional handicraft skills, such as basket making, are transmitted by the old masters to the younger people. During the last couple of years dwellers from outside Karaburun settled in Ambarseki and some of them introduced the idea of starting pension tourism in order to contribute to the development of the village
