During the local elections of 28 March 2004 the following 9 members were
elected to the Municipal Council of Karaburun. The Municipal Council
elected the Mayor, Ergin Ayvaz and Zafer Ince as members of the Municipal
Committee.

The Karaburun Municipal Council holds its regular meetings as
planned by law. These meetings are open to the public and the
agenda is made public in forehand. However the Municipal
Council has the right to hold closed sessions.
The periodicity and the procedures of the Municipal Council
meetings as well as the functions and authority of the
Municipal Council members are regulated by the relevant
articles of Law 1580 on the Management of Municipalities.
